Architecture photography is the specialized practice of photographing buildings and built environments to accurately document, interpret, and artistically represent their design, form, materials, and spatial relationships. It emphasizes composition, perspective control, lighting, texture, scale, and context. The goal is archival documentation, architectural promotion, editorial illustration, real estate marketing, and artistic expression. The classic Tudor and Georgian styles of Salt Lake City’s original neighborhoods give way across the Wasatch to mountain living in Park City which can span from glass and steel monoliths to log built homes nestled in the trees. Further North, in Ogden and Logan young architects in the 1950s and 60s cut their teeth building mid-century modern homes along the East Bench.
