Fine Art Paper
The fine art paper we choose to use with our printing partners is from Fuji. Our prints are produced on Fujiflex silver halide, then mounted to an aluminum plate which is them sandwiched to another plate with a core of black plastic. There is a inset from with a french cleat on the back of the image so they appear to float or hover off the wall about an inch. An satin coating is applied for permanence of the colors and protection. A floating frame surrounding the print is optional
Acrylic
We also like Acrylic mounting our prints. The image is face mounted under museum quality, UV acrylic, an eighth or a quarter in thick giving the image a depth, almost like looking at it from a distance. It really makes scenes pop! The image is protected for decades to come. Floating box frames are also available for acrylic prints.
Dye Sublimation on Metal
Our second custom option is Dye Sublimation onto aluminum. In this process the image is baked onto an aluminum plate to create a permanent and crystal clear image directly on the metal, no paper used at all. Different finishes are available, a clear finish lets the metal show through the image. A gloss white finish can be sprayed on the aluminum first as a base, this really make vibrant colors pop. Matte finishes are used for softer for subtle images. Float mount and float frames are available this style of printing.
